Ride of Silence
Date: Wednesday, May 21, 2025
Meet Time: 6:30 p.m. for a brief ceremony
Location: HJ's Youth and Community Center
6425 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO 64113
Join the worldwide bicycling community for this important ride:
http://www.rideofsilence.org.
We will ride in a slow, silent procession to honor cyclists who have
been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways.
Major Taylor Cycling Club of Kansas City is organizing this 19th
annual Kansas City ride. Over 100 bicyclists have been killed in the
Kansas City area. The Kansas City ride will honor those and other
bicyclists.
Participants of all abilities are invited to join this memorial
event. The ride will not exceed 12 mph. We will read the names of
those who lost their lives or were injured while riding their
bicycles during a brief ceremony, followed by ride protocol, safety
instructions, and the ride. Please email any names that may not be on
the list.
Contact: Mitchell Krasnopoler, mkrasnopoler@gmail.com
Note that we are returning to HJ’s – the same location as in 2024.
Please do not part in the HJ’s lot because there are other activities
inside during our ride.
